ACECC BLACK HISTORY MONTH NEWS: Hotep All! As Afrikan Centered Schools, we do not focus on February solely as "Black History" month, because each and every day should be a celebration of our human story. But, I do believe that we should be mindful of the shoulders we stand upon and in the spirit of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, become the ones to tell OURSTORY. It is in this spirit, that I am suggesting that each day during the month of February 2010, we make an announcement at each Campus about a significant event, person or contribution in Afrikan / Afrikan American history. The announcement can be made either at the beginning or end of each school day and can be done by students, staff or administrators.
