Priority Placement Employment Forum for employees affected by school closings/consolidations/reorganizations

Pursuant to the MOU (click here to read the MOU) between the KCFT & SRP and the KCMSD, employees affected by school closings/consolidations/reorganizations are to be placed into their positions for school year 2008/09 and notified of such placements.

To meet the stated objectives, four days have been designated to convene Priority Placement Conferences (PPCs) wherein affected employees will select position assignments for school year 2008/09.

Scheduled for June 2, 3, 4, and 5 are daily PPCs which will be divided into eighty-five (85) minute (groups of 10) selection conferences; a total of seven (7) PPCs will be scheduled between the hours of 8:00a.m. - 5:45 p.m. The PPC site is Southeast Field House, 6410 Swope Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri.

Beginning Friday, May 23, certified and classified position vacancies will be posted on the HR Website. For position vacancies and detailed information on the Priority Placement process, please refer to the HR website at kcmsd.net/hr

Tuesday, May 27, affected certified and classified staff (employees in positions covered by the KCFT & SRP) will be advised of their conference appointment via District electronic mail transmission and by posting on the HR Website. Likewise, Principals/Department Heads will also receive notice of conference appointments scheduled for affected employees in their buildings. Employees are encouraged to monitor the HR Website for updates and other related information.
